Welcome to the PDU website. We have recently held the third PDU Winter Meeting in Hayman Island on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. The proceedings will be again be published in JECT and together with previous meetings the programme can be viewed on this web site. We have also progressed on the PDU Collaboration to the point where we have been able to analyse preliminary data from two contributing sites.
The 4th Winter Meeting moves back to our outstanding New Zealand winter location at the Heritage in Queenstown. We are very excited to be one of the first conference groups to use the new conference centre at the Heritage currently under construction. This purpose built auditorium is to be situated between the accommodation wings overlooking spectacular vistas of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables.
We have again received widespread acclaim from attendees of all disciplines on the meetings content and concept with specific mention of informal access to the faculty outside of the meeting room. The format will remain largely unchanged and we will retain some continuity of topic and introduce some new themes. The 2008 programme will have an additional session and a new focus on the Perfusion Downunder Collaboration (PDUC). We expect the continued excellent input and support from other disciplines that resulted in a truly integrated approach to the issues presented in out three meetings to date and again encourage multidisciplinary attendance.
The meeting will continue its "Trade Free" approach. The Committee is enormously grateful to Cellplex Pty Ltd, who developed the original concept of Perfusion Downunder, for their exclusive sponsorship of the Meeting and their commitment to the concept of a trade free meeting truly focusing on our objectives.
The meeting will have a finite number of registrations and so we would advise you to register early. Programme detail as well as registration and accommodation details will be posted on the Perfusion Downunder website. We invite you to add this site to your favourites.
Please do not hesitate to contact myself or any of the members from the Organising Committee.
Sincerely

Tim Willcox
Chairman Perfusion Downunder
